By the decisions of the General Assembly of the Green Card System, the Association of Insurers was accepted as a member of the Supervisory Board of the System (Supervisory Board), and a representative of the Association was appointed Chairman of the Board for admission of new members of the System.

In that way, recognition was expressed for the fact that the Association of Insurers of Serbia has been successfully participating in the work of the System for many years, but also recognition for coordination and discipline of the Association and its members in fulfilling obligations under international agreements. vehicles travel across borders.

Considering that the Serbian market is one of the smallest in the System, with only 2.5 million vehicles, the participation of the Association of Insurers in the highest bodies of the System is an exceptional success and recognition of the highest level, points out UOS Secretary General Dusko Jovanovic.

In addition to the above, at the meeting of the Supervisory Board, it was decided to assign the Association the organization of the largest event within the scope of the System, IMIC (International Motor Insurance Convention) – International Motor Insurance Convention. The governing body of the System went a step further in its decision, stating that the Association of Insurers of Serbia will be the organizer of this prestigious event either in 2021 or in the first next year when the conditions are met, having in mind the situation caused by the Kovid virus pandemic19.

In that way, the organization assigned to the Association is fixed, which we consider another praise for our work and commitment, points out the Secretary General of UOS, Dusko Jovanovic. He adds that this is the largest international gathering in the field of insurance that will be held in Serbia and one of the largest in Europe, considering that more than 200 delegates from 48 countries of the Green Card System will participate.
